Safa Somi completed her Master of Clinical Dentistry in Prosthodontics from Cardiff University with distinction and gained Membership in Prosthodontics Diploma from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 2014. She is recognised by General Dental Council as a Specialist in Prosthodontics.
Safa is a part-time Senior Clinical Teaching Fellow at world-renowned Eastman Dental Institute, UCL, restricting her teaching to postgraduate dentists undergoing training in Implant Dentistry. She was also a Clinical Lecturer at Cardiff Dental School (2014-2018) where she was teaching postgraduate dentists at Master of Clinical Dentistry (Prosthodontics) and MSc (Implantology).
Safa lectures nationally and internationally.
Dr Somi is experienced in all aspects of Restorative Dentistry and has adapted use of new technologies, specifically laser and digital dentistry in her day to day treatment approaches.
She accepts referrals for Implant placement and restoration, complex prosthodontic cases, cosmetic dentistry, management of tooth wear and failing dentition, full mouth rehabilitation, occlusal problems, root canal therapy, crown lengthening surgery, advanced bone grafting and Laser therapy in dentistry.
